personality
Average is probably the best word to describe Kouki Furihata. He is an extremely average person with extremely average basketball skills. Despite it all though, he puts everything he has into training. Even if he spends most of the games on the bench, he still does his best to encourage his teammates and upperclassmen to do their very best.

He didn't start off as a pillar of support for the team though. In fact one of the main reasons as to why he joined the basketball club was so that he could impress a girl he liked. He wanted to show her that he could be apart of something great. But, when when the first years were required to play against the second years at the start of the club he kind of.... gave up half way through the match. He thought that they would lose even if they did have Kagami (an extremely talented player) and Kuroko's (a player who only has a specific passing skill but is very poor/average everywhere else) help. He even entertained the idea of quitting at one point as well. He felt that, with all the incredibly amazing and talented players on the team like Kagami and his senpai, he'd never get a chance to play in a single game.

But, every time he looked at Kuroko he always got a sense of feeling that he too, could be useful to the team somehow. Even if it means sitting on the bench for the rest of his high school career cheering on the rest of his teammates, he would do it. And deep down inside a part of him knows that he would be upset with himself and regret the decision he had made to quit the team if he did it on those terms. He enjoys having fun and playing with his teammates the most. And he wants to help his friends on their way to victory as best as he can. Whether it be cheering from the sidelines or giving it his all on the court.

Kouki is very kind and cares a lot about his friends and senpai. After finding out what had happened to Teppei Kiyoshi last year at the Interhigh tournament, he (along with two other freshmen) insist on taping his knee up so he wouldn't sustain another knee injury. In fact he and his other teammates kind of over do it and tape up his knee to the point where he can't even move it. But it helped Teppei realize that there are people on the team who do care about him and his well being. He's also the one who suggest that he and the rest of the first year players play in a five-on-five streetball tournament. And that tournament help solidify his feelings for the sport even more. He really enjoys playing at his own pace and having fun with his teammates.

He is very easy to intimidate though. When he first met Akashi, captain to the Generation of Miracles (an old team in middle school that was comprised with five incredibly talented players who are on a professional playing level) and the current Rakuzan captain he couldn't even move. He was frozen to the spot in fear. When he got subbed into the Kaijou game for the first time ever, he was shaking so badly he couldn't even speak or play properly. In fact he told Kagami to "camu dawn", and he also ended up passing the ball to one of the Kaijou teammates instead of his own. And later when Seirin goes up against Rakuzan in the final round of the Winter Cup, someone compares Kouki to a chihuahua and Akashi to a lion. As soon as his nerves settle in and he gets into the games he manages to take things at his own pace.
debt
Getting the strength he needs to help himself and his team face off against Rakuzan and their captain Akashi Seijuurou.
suitability
He would probably be tricked in to it? If the witch offered him more strength or stamina in return for helping her out at the bathhouse he would readily take it so he could help support his team. He isn't the type to rebel though? He might complain about some of the tasks here and there (depending on how crazy/outrageous/insane they are), but he would endure it for the sake of his debt.
inventory
The only thing he'll arrive with are the clothes on his back, and that would be his Seirin basketball jersey, shorts, socks and tennis shoes.
abilities, strengths, weaknesses
Kouki is incredibly average, and he doesn't have any type of incredible skill set either. He is, however, extremely level-headed and has the ability to control the pace of a game. As soon as he gets over his shaky nerves though. When he stops shaking like a leaf he is very persistent with his defense. He might not be big or scary like the others on his team, but he does his best and makes up for it with his persistency on the court. He unfortunately relies a lot on his teammates and only functions to support them. He also gets incredibly intimidated.
